I found Rachel on Yelp and I'm so glad I had a session with her! I've had quite a few Reiki sessions with different practitioners, but Rachel's Reiki session is probably the best I have ever had. What makes it so great is her sound healing. She tones, sings, and makes different sounds with her voice during the whole session and it is so relaxing to hear. I love it. I really felt things shifting during the session. I like that she spent a lot of time on my stomach. Most Reiki practioners don't spend much time on my stomach and that's where I hold all my emotions. My stomach was growling the whole time! I regularly get acupuncture, and was impressed to see that this modality produced similar effects, with light and minimal hands-on. I felt the light sensations of energy movement at different times during the session, and also felt my digestive system rumble from being stimulated, gently moving along, yet without a feeling of hunger.
Rachel's office is clean, and has a good vibe. I appreciate her strong intuition, and any insights that she may have to convey on that particular day. Talking is minimal, but she may have something to offer at the end of the session, for those interested. I really enjoy the music played during the sessions; it definitely helps me to get out of my head, open up and unwind. Rachel complements this with gentle toning at certain points during the treatment. Her intake is professional, and her treatment is compassionate.
The 60 minute session was relaxing, which was what I was looking for out of the treatment, but I found that the 90 minute session really helps me to "reboot", let go of the stress of the week, and downshift. Falling into a deep sleep is not uncommon for me in these treatments. It's a nice way to start the weekend. - E.R.
Offerings
Reiki and Sound Therapy Sessions
In Tune Reiki is the only practice in the San Francisco Bay Area offering Reiki and sound therapy combined in one treatment - that's two healing modalities for the cost of one!
A Reiki and sound therapy treatment session is typically 90 minutes long. First, the session begins with a discussion of what dis-ease of the mind, body, or spirit you wish to focus on. Then, you are invited to lay down on the massage table, comfortably clothed, and breathe deeply. Rachel will then gently lay her hands on or slightly above different locations on the body to help the body receive the energy. Rachel uses a combination of her intuition and sound healing training to create vocal sounds appropriate to your individual needs. Each person experiences Reiki differently. Many people have experienced tingling or changes in temperature. All people have reported experiencing a feeling of great relaxation. The session is concluded with sweeping your energies and offering you water to assist in eliminating toxins that have been stirred up. Then there is a brief discussion on how the session went and what further treatment will be necessary to reach your wellness goals.
3 sessions in 3 weeks is typically recommended so you may monitor the positive changes in your overall wellness. It is recommended to keep a journal during this time to assess how the Reiki is working.

Intro to Toning and Chant for Healing and Connection

Our voices are powerful tools for transformation. From a joyful laugh, to a weary sigh, to a startled scream, to a moan of pleasure or pain, we naturally use our voices to release emotions and move energy. Through the vibrations of the voice, you can heal your physical and emotional self, you can carry your intention to manifest your desires, and you can deepen your spiritual connection. No singing required! All you need is an open mind and open heart.
Rachel will lead you in a spiritual, safe, and simple participatory experience of sound and energy. You will leave the workshop relaxed and revitalized with an understanding of the basics of toning and chant that you can easily incorporate into your daily life. Some of the vocal methods covered are: toning the chakras, the six healing sounds of QiGong, and overtone chanting. This workshop is wonderful for people of all beliefs and abilities, but is best suited for ages 13 and older. Workshop is an hour-long intensive so please arrive promptly. No admittance for late arrivals. Tuition is $20 per participant.
Reiki Classes and Attunements

Everyone can learn Reiki. The ability to use Reiki is transferred to the student by a Reiki Master Teacher through a process called an attunement. The attunement cleanses and purifies while promoting spiritual growth. Once a person is attuned, they will always have access to Reiki energy and can use it for self-healing and healing others, including animals and plants.
There are three degrees in the Usui System:
Shoden Level: Reiki I: Ability to offer Reiki healing to yourself and others. Reiki I is a commitment to healing yourself with Reiki. Class is a day-long intensive and includes Reiki history and techniques, practice time, Reiki attunement, Reiki certificate, Reiki candle, and Reiki handbook authored by Rachel. In addition, healer ethics, energetic wellness, the chakra system, meditation, using intuition and communicating with your Guidance will be covered.
Okuden Level: Reiki II: Learning of Reiki symbols for increased effectiveness and ability to offer Reiki over distance of space or time. Reiki II is a commitment to healing others with Reiki. Class is a day-long intensive and includes practice time, Reiki attunement, Reiki certificate, Reiki candle, and Reiki handbook authored by Rachel. In addition, information on starting a Reiki practice will be covered.
Shinpiden Level: Reiki III: Learning of Reiki Master symbol and ability to give attunements and teach Reiki. Reiki III is a commitment to transmist and teach Reiki. Year-long apprenticeship is not offered at this time.
Previous to taking the class, a short in-person meeting to discuss your inspiration and goals is required. This can be done over the phone if in-person is impossible. Please contact Rachel to schedule a meeting.

Reiki Candles
Purchase a votive candle to access an energetic boost in your home. Great for altar candles, healings, or manifesting. During creation, Reiki infuses the molten wax with the added blessing, "May whoever burns this candle find assistance with manifesting their desires for the good of all."
So set your intention on what you would like a little boost of energy in your life before you light!
All candles are unique because they are hand-poured and made from recycled candle wax. That's right, old candles saved from the fate of the landfill are instead reborn into new candles! Because of this, burn rate is not guaranteed and colors are approximate. All candles are made scent-free.
These candles are votives so should be burned with a proper votive holder. Trim wick to 1/4" before lighting. Never leave a candle burning unattended.
